If you've any sort of a social life whatsoever, chances are you've been in the back of a taxi Octavia. For many others, it's been their car of choice for lugging the family, dog and everything else a household needs around.

Now, the Octavia is back in a new model and for me, it's the leap forward for the model that the Superb was some years ago. Forget what you know about the predecessors, this is an Octavia that will surprise even the most sceptical of Skoda badge snobs.
