In performance settings, we use dance as a language to communicate with the audience. In rehearsal and choreography settings, we use dance as a language for internal communication by using the mirror as a space of reflection, experimentation, and honesty. To showcase their personal legacies, these four choreographers improvise on the stage and use the mirror to cast these internal reflections to the audience.
