First race on the open sea - TU Delft Solar Boat Team

Today was the first race day of the Monaco Offshore Challenge 2019. For us, this was the first race on open sea. The race went really well and the boat has performed perfectly. Therefore, we were able to reach very high speeds and even set a new speed record for our boat: 35 kmph! After finishing, we encountered a problem with the connection-wires of the solar panels. Despite this setback, the team is very happy with the performance of today. It is amazing to see what a team of 28 students can accomplish: building the first Dutch Solar Boat that raced on open sea!
