Faith and mankind have always been intertwined throughout the ages and every known civilization has always carried out religious or traditional rites. It follows that Human settlements would usually require a space for the above mentioned functions and these spaces are as diverse as the world’s religions are.

Chapels have been traditionally defined as a private place of worship and veneration subservient to a residence or an institution. In the contemporary sense due to increased awareness and increased religious tolerance chapels have being increasingly designed as multi denominational in the context of Christianity and multi faith especially in western societies.
