Most of the time, boats use this amazing feat of engineering to move between the Trent and Mersey Canal and the River Weaver. On this particular day however, the Anderton Boat Lift was open to the public. We got up close and personal to the underside of the lift - thankfully it didn’t fall on our heads... 😅
