In this Amazon Insider video, we will be talking about Amazon seller identity verification problems.

We receive questions everyday about verification issues and decided to put together this video to address the most common problems.

Here are 8 common mistakes to avoid when creating an Amazon seller central account.

Number 1:

The name and address in your seller central account should match the name and address on your utility bill.

Number 2:

The information on your drivers licence, national ID card or passport should also match the details on your Amazon seller account.

Number 3:

Your email, website address and phone number should be consistent in all the documents you submit to Amazon.

Number 4:

The name and address on any invoices you submit should match the information on your seller Account.

Number 5:

One of the first things you should do before signing up is to check that the country you are in is permitted to sell on Amazon.

If your country is not on the Amazon seller permitted list then the account verification process will fail.

Number 6:

You should sign up as an Amazon seller using a credit card and not a pre paid or debit.

Signing up with a pre paid or debit card is one of the most common reasons for account suspensions and subsequent request for identity verification to get reinstated.

Number 7:

You should submit documents that you can download and email to Amazon.

Do not send screen prints as these will be rejected.

Number 8:

The name and address on your bank account should be an exact match for the name and address on your Amazon seller central account.

Now, after you have submitted the verification information requested, you will have to wait anything from a few day to a couple of months for your account to get reinstated.

Therefore you will need to be patient and wait for the seller performance team to get back to you.

Your account will eventually get reinstated as long as you have submitted the requested information and there are no errors in your documentation.

However, if you are not able to provide the required information then you will not be able to get reinstated.
