Subaru Rear Wiper Stuck (Parts Cannon vs. Russian Repairs)?

The 2006 Subaru Outback is back in the shop for the rear wiper motor replacement.

After the FAILURE ANALYSIS, the question arises:
From a shop owner's perspective,
WHAT IS BETTER FOR THE ECONOMY:
1) REPLACE the part:
-Customer: Spends MORE money.
-Shop: Makes LESS money.
-Parts store: Makes MORE money.

2) REPAIR the original part:
-Customer: Spends LESS money.
-Shop: Makes MORE money (labor).
-Parts store: Makes NO money.

You can guess which way I chose in this case :)
