Sarah's voice is quiet, but it cuts through the courtroom: "The state gave me that property on account of my ancestors. I knew in my soul there was oil on it. My folks believed me, and so did Mr. Smith—even though the geologist said it was dry. It's funny... when the land had only weeds and lizards, it was all mine.
