So about a year and a half ago, I became OBSESSED with clean hair care. I had started following a lot of channels and instagram accounts in the long hair care community, and MOST of the girls with really long, healthy beautiful hair swore by clean products, free from things like silicones and sulfates. So, I deducted that if these girls with GORGEOUS long healthy hair were all swearing by these products, the they must be on to something! So, I finished off my old bottle of shampoo and conditioner, and bought HUNDREDS of dollars worth of clean hair care products. The Briogeo Scalp Revival line being one of them.

I originally just wanted the shampoo and scalp treatment, but the bundle was much cheaper, so I decided to go with that instead. My thinking was, if I was getting $40 off from buying it in the bundle, it was basically like I was getting the shampoo for free. When it came, I was SUPER excited, because in addition to being clean, it was also specifically aimed at getting rid of dandruff and promoting scalp health. When I opened the packaging, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it literally smelt like mint and chip ice cream. I couldn't have been happier!

The shampoo has a pudding like texture, and has tiny micro-beads infused in the formula to help exfoliate your scalp. When you apply it, it provides a cooling sensation to the scalp, that always makes me feel like I'm at some fancy spa getting a scalp massage. As far as eliminating dandruff, I can truthfully say that every time I have used this product, I have seen a significant reduction in the amount of dandruff I have. As it is, I only use it about once a month, but I never see a significant build up of dandruff anymore. Before switching to clean products, I struggled a ton with dandruff, and now it is not a problem! I think it is probably due to a combination of this product, and switching to clean hair care.

The scalp brush is okay for me. I like it, and it definitely does stimulate my scalp, but I don't find myself reaching for it very often at all. The reason is, I feel like it kind of tangles my hair and gets caught, and I'm really only able to move the brush over a very small area of my scalp. So, though it is good for blood flow stimulation, I almost never use it. My husband does though, so that's something.

The conditioner is a similar consistency to the shampoo, without the micro-beads. It's nice that it came in the set, but it has the same cooling sensation as the shampoo, even though I, and most people I know do not use conditioner on their scalp. SO the cooling effect it therefore... unnecessary. I understand that it is PROBABLY just due to the the ingredients they use in the conditioner, BUT I do find it to be annoying that every time I use this product, and let it sit in my hair, it ends up putting the cooling sensation on my back. Which does not feel as nice as the head. It's not that it hurts, or anything like that. It's just...unnecessary. In addition, I don't find this conditioner to be EXTREMELY hydrating, which is something I often look for in a conditioner. So, with that being said, I doubt this conditioner is something I would repurchase.

Lastly we have the scalp treatment. This is aimed at promoting a clean and healthy scalp, and should be used after the shower. It does not make your hair greasy, but instead has charcoal in it, to help draw out impurities. I really like this one as well. It feels nice on the scalp, and I just enjoy scalp treatments in general. I don't know if I've really noticed a difference in my scalp health after using it, but, like I said before, my dandruff has improved a lot over that last year and a half.
