Dubai’s RTA is introducing a school transport pooling pilot.

Announced by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), this initiative allows students from the same residential area, even if they attend different schools, to share school transport using optimised routes.
Key details from the pilot:

• Expected start: Q1 2026
• Launch offer: approx. AED 1,000 per month
• Home-to-school travel time: within 60 minutes
• Initial pilot area: Al Barsha
• Students aged 14+
• Covered schools include Bloom Academy, Brighton College, GEMS Founders School, GEMS Al Barsha National School, Dubai American Academy & American School of Dubai
The pilot is implemented with Yango Group and Urban Express Transport, and follows full RTA safety and monitoring standards.
