This live recording of the Verdi Requiem is one of the most energetic performances that exist as a sound document. It is a rare live recording from Moscow that was made in September 1964. Karajan took the Milan Scala ensemble on a tour to Moscow and performed Puccini's La Boheme and Verdi's Requiem in the Bolshoi Theatre. At the end of the video are the photos that were taken after the performance of the Verdi Requiem.
