This video is all about walking the cup on 3" stainless flange welded to a carbon steel pipe.
Walking the cup is a very nice skill to have, but it's also good to be able to do freehand. Visit my store at https://weldmongerstore.com/ for TIG Fingers, DVDs, and other quality welding tools.

Sometimes there are things in your way preventing you from being able to walk the cup, and
that's where you need to be able to do it freehand. Having a TIG finger can really help, as
sometimes you need to prop right next to the weld and your knuckles can get roasted.
With a TIG finger, you're protected and can finish the weld without burning your fingers. When you have plenty of room, walking the cup is a great technique and you don't have the problem of roasting your fingers.
