Darth Maul was a fan favourite character after the phantom menace in spite of having only a few lines, he left a lasting impression on dans thanks to his iconic look and incredibly lightsaber wizardry. He never returned in the prequel trilogy, and instead each sub villain reflected a different aspect of the man who would be Vader. But what if Maul had returned from the dead before his eventual return in animation? What if he ended up being what we thought was a new character all along? What if Darth Maul had transformed himself into the cyborg general known as Grievous?
