Poldark // Demelza's Lullaby "Kosk Yn Ta" (Cover)

- - - LYRICS/CHORDS BELOW - - -

This is my acoustic cover of Demelza's song from episode 2x06 of Poldark. It's the lullaby she sings to her son. I couldn't find any info on it but I assume it was written by Mike O'Connor who also did the folk songs in season 1 ("I d'Pluck a Fair Rose": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t993zG7e8-U / "Medhel an Gwyns": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSqj7bR6jzo). The overall soundtrack is by Anne Dudley.

Since I didn't find the lyrics, I figured them out from listening, as well as the chords. Had to use a Cornish dictionary :D (English is not my first language.) As far as I can gather "kosk yn ta" means something akin to "go to sleep".

I used a capo on 4 but the original key is without any.

LYRICS/CHORDS:

Am------------G--------Dm-------Am
when the moon is on the sea
Am------Em-------------Am
kosk yn ta, kosk yn ta
Am------G-----------Dm-----Am
silver pilchards called* to thee
Am------Em7--------Am
kosk yn, kosk yn ta
Am----------G--------Dm----Am
dream of starry gazey pie
Am------Em7-------Am
kosk yn, kosk yn ta

*I'm erroneously singing "call" because that's what I heard but it was pointed out to me that it's "called". Oops! Sorry!
