Let's Build a... Crossfading Synth [Bitwig Studio]

Sound design is centered around modulation so in this video, we build a crossfading synth. The journey takes two audio sources, then makes them control sources, then makes them four sources, and then swaps out the sine carrier for a morphing Wavetable. And since it's The Grid, every signal remains polyphonic and stereo. I guess we should get used to that.

This tutorial builds the beginning of Genesis, one of the presets in the eponymous Crossfading Synths sound package, available here: https://bit.ly/CrossfadingSynths

34 - Starting with two audio oscillators
52 - Swap our Mixer for a single Blend control
42 - Everything is polyphonic. Hurray!
32 - Two cables, and our oscillators are modulators now
05 - Swap our Blend for up to eight Merge signals
00 - Crossfading with a polyphonic control signal
41 - Okay, a stereo polyphonic control signal
00 - And now the Sine is a morphing Wavetable
30 - Trying out different wavetables — or import your own
35 - Yeah, time for a stereo step sequencer. Duh.
59 - Two different x-fade controls
10 - And Wavetable is a crossfading synth
