Midland GXT1000 CTCSS Bug/Reset

There is a bug in the Midland GXT1000 where the CTCSS code cannot be turned off. Selecting oF from the menu should clear the added CTCSS privacy code, but it does not. Powering the radio off and on again restores the CTCSS code that was supposed to be removed. The only workaround I can find is to do a full reset by holding the up button while turning the radio on.
