Today, I’m driving one of the rarest hot hatchbacks you’ve probably never heard of — the Toyota Vitz TRD Turbo M. This tiny, turbocharged pocket rocket is one of just 200 ever made, with possibly fewer than 10 examples in the UK. Built by Toyota Racing Development (TRD), this is no ordinary Yaris (or Vitz, as it’s known in Japan). With factory-fitted forced induction, unique body styling, and performance upgrades, this forgotten JDM gem punches well above its weight.
In this video, I take the Toyota Vitz TRD Turbo out for a drive, give you a full tour of the car, and explain what makes it so special.
