GV Highlands, fishing for salmon, landing one. GV highlands, very picturesque. Shots of various distilleries. Unload barley off lorry. Shovelling barley in lofts. Water turned on barley. In loft of kiln malt turned over. MS Hopper. Turning on hot liquor. Cooling process. Containers being washed. CU Yeast fomenting. Distillery, Customs officer locks same. Stoking furnace with coal. Exterior of distillery, water turning wheel. Elev. shot casks in field. Cooper making casks. Excise officer & employee unlock warehouse, two locks are used. Interior - casks being filled from vats. Chemist smelling same, Pours some on hands, rubs same & inhales. Going thru hydrometer test. Unlocking pump valves. Pulling lever over. Casks full of whisky emptied in trough, CU whisky. Taking samples from vats. Unlocking blending vats. Weighing filled casks. Tapping casks. Whisky into troughs. Bottling department, bottling by machinery. CU bottles. Elev. shot of bottling, capping, examined over light, labelling. Pass along conveyor, wrapped by girls who also pack them into cases. Stacks of cases. On case "Blended Scotsh Whisky" GV Scottish moors & highlands. CU rushing water. Fishing for salmon. CU Scotsman holding up bottle of whisky.
