1963 Cheetah Race Car
This 1963 Cheetah, created to bring glory to American racing, will be sold by Guernsey’s in NYC at an unprecedented one-lot auction. Owned by the same gentleman since 1965, the General Motors collaboration was the fourth of the twenty three Cheetahs believed built and is the only known unrestored, completely original surviving example. Featured in a 1981 twelve-page Automobile Quarterly article, this car set a Daytona track record in 1964 at 215 mph.
