Used VEHICLE LIFT worth buying??

Picked up a well used vehicle lift for pennies on the dollar at an auction. Now it's just a matter of getting it up and going. Was it worth it?

This is known as a low rise lift. They sell new from Bend Pak for $2000 so I figured $250 wasn't a bad deal. It was pretty much worst case scenario of having the hydraulic ram be junk. I'm into it around $300 now and it has been working very well but I need to buy or make some nicer rubber lifting blocks(like it comes with new). I installed some hydraulic quick disconnects and a remote lead so I can activate it remotely while adjusting the blocks under the vehicle.
