Thief: Deadly Shadows -10- The House of Widow Moira

According to the ship's manifest the golden slab that could be the Compendium of Reproach is hidden somewhere in Moira's house, the Overlook mansion. Well, obviously Garrett's going there to steal it now.

I got so tired of recording this level. I originally tried entering through the balcony to hear the conversation between the "scoundrel of the City Watch" and his wife better, but they sometimes have sixth sense about Garrett and the guard in the hallway is even worse so I chose this route instead. Knocking out the second guard later was just me ventilating my frustration with having to repeatedly play the beginning of the level due to glitches, and knocking out the servant was a precautionary action. Both could probably easily be avoided.
I didn't bring wine to the widow (it's actually possible), because she doesn't say anything interesting or helpful. The most help she ever offers is mentioning the existence of the viktrola after loads of rambling, and I think she does that even if you don't bring the wine to her.

This level also annoys me in one specific way: the last note added after reading the Captain's message to his wife specifically states that the widow will not survive without the gold pouch inside the trunk, but it has to be stolen in order for the level to be finished on Expert difficulty. That's kind of mean.
I actually considered playing on Hard just so I could leave the gold there after opening the trunk, but my guess is that hardly anybody watching would understand the idea there, so here's a completely ordinary walkthrough video on Expert difficulty that bored me to death when I watched it myself.
