Neuschwanstein castle in Germany. Aerial 4K drone video. Ultra HD

The fairy tale castle that hiding in the woodlands of the Bavarian Alps, is a real masterpiece, deserving a crazy popularity among tourists and bringing fabulous profits to Germany. Neuschwanstein became the prototype of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris Disneyland, Tchaikovsky's inspiration for the ballet "Swan Lake" and the embodiment of Ludwig II's love for Wagner's music. It is unlikely that there will be other castles in Germany that store more exhibits showing royal admiration for Wagner's compositions - tapestries depicting scenes from his operas still cherish the enchanting castle of Neuschwanstein.

Neuschwanstein was built for 17 years, but, unfortunately, it was never fully completed. The third floor of the castle and the chivalry were not finished. The main decoration of the building - a cathedral in the Gothic style, which was to lead all the buildings - remained only in the plans. Before the death of Ludwig, the decoration of 14 rooms was completed. But the captivating beauty of Germany's most famous castle does not grow dull from this. The sun is also beautifully reflected on the pearly walls of Neuschwanstein. And inside the throne room demonstrates paintings of wealth: complex frescoes with angels and Christian saints. The throne, in fact, is not here - for him only a platform was built at the end of the room, as the king was removed from power.

Another attraction - Grotto - a sample of the violent fantasy of the king. A small room at the first sight on the third floor is decorated like a fairy-tale cave with a small waterfall. The sense of the dungeon here is so realistic that it looks like a real miracle. Especially for the pleasure of the king, the mainsail is connected by an auditory move with the Hall of Singers.

The castles of Germany are full of legends. During the Second World War, Neuschwanstein was the place of storage of the Reichsbank gold. When, shortly before the end of the war, gold was taken to an unknown destination, they began to say that it was drowned in the nearby Alat lake.

Neuschwanstein is located in the picturesque Hohenschwangau Valley, just a few minutes' walk from the popular tourist town of Füssen and Hohenschwangau Castle, where Ludwig II spent his youth. Neuschwanstein became the most photographed object in Germany. Every day it is visited by about 6000 visitors.

To the south of Fuessen lies another equally legendary Frankenstein castle, famous for its eccentric alchemist Joseph von Frankenstein. Many of Germany's castles were converted into comfortable hotels and hotels, where today everyone can rent royal suites. Select and book hotels at the best prices, we advise on trivago - the biggest site in comparison with the prices for hotels.

The Schloss Neuschwanstein Castle is open daily, except on Christmas holidays, from 9.00 to 18.00 in the summer and from 10.00 to 16.00 in the winter.
The cost is 9 €. Inspection is possible only with the excursion group. Excursions begin every five minutes, alternately in German and English.
To photograph and take with itself the big subjects (bags, carriages) it is forbidden. But if you want to stay here longer than 25 minutes of the excursion, visit one of Wagner's concerts that are held here regularly.
