Fenland Busfest 2021 from Whittlesey hosted by Eastern Bus Enthusiasts

Classic buses in action at Fenland Bus Fest 2021 feature as I travelled to Whittlesey for one of the best events of the year. It was to celebrate 10 years since the Eastern Bus Enthusiasts began.
Around 40 buses were in attendance either on display or running trips around the local area. The 341/2 service operated every 20 minutes taking visitors to Ramsey but sadly the classic car show had been cancelled which I know was a huge disappointment for many people. There were other trips to Yaxley, Thorney, Turves and the Fenland Light Railway. A number of local pubs were also served such as the Three Horseshoes at Turves and the Fenman Pub at Stanground.
Held slightly later than usual this was still a fantastic event with so much going on.
As you can see from the list below there was such a great variety you were spoilt for choice as to which bus to travel on. Many local operators were represented as well as others from further afield such as Suffolk, London Transport and The Midlands.

Filming took place in Whittlesey where a few buses are seen arriving before the action centres on The Market where the buses were departing and arriving from trips at very frequent intervals. Some buses can be seen on the surrounding roads and towards the end a number of buses are featured negotiating the roundabout near the bus station. One or
two of the classic cars were unhappy at their show being cancelled and decided to put in an appearance. Despite the overcast conditions at least it stayed dry nearly all day.
