Music Is Not Random: The Secret Map Behind Thousands of Songs (Lesson 2)
Welcome to Lesson 2 of the Sax Creative Experience Week.
In this class, you'll discover one of the most important concepts in music:
Music is not random.
Most saxophone players are taught scales, exercises, and theory without ever understanding how everything connects together. In this lesson, I will show you the hidden structure behind thousands of famous songs and why improvisation becomes much easier when you understand the musical "map."
Inside this lesson, you'll learn:
✅ The famous 1-5-6-4 progression used in countless hit songs
✅ How to build chords directly from the major scale
✅ Why some notes sound stable while others create tension and emotion
✅ How to improvise using chord tones instead of guessing notes
✅ The psychological role of each chord in a progression
✅ Why timing is often more important than playing more notes
✅ How songs by The Beatles, Journey, Adele, Maroon 5 and many others use the same structure
You'll also discover why improvisation is not a gift reserved for a few talented musicians, but a skill that can be developed through understanding and practice.
If you are a complete beginner, this lesson will help you see music in a much more logical way.
If you already play saxophone, this may completely change the way you approach improvisation.

• What were the most important things you learned?
• What are you going to apply immediately?
• What would you like to learn in the next classes?
I read every comment and your participation is an important part of the learning process.
See you in Lesson 3, where we'll apply the same principles to one of the most important systems in modern music.
