Timex Sinclair 2068 Twister Board by Superfo

Superfo made a Timex Sinclair TS2068 "Twister Board" with a socket for ZX Spectrum ROM on-board. Socket accepts both 27C128 or 27C256 chips.

Now You can not only connect ZX Spectrum devices to Your TS 2068 but also You can use - most of the time - normal ZX Spectrum progs. Of course not everything works 100% the same, some programs work faster, some programs work slower, there are problems with multicolour's timing and stuff, however obviously it's not related with the Twister Board but with Timex 2068 itself, hehehe.

I tested several games and demos. You can plug in a regular Kempston interface and play using joystick, You can connect AY-interface and listen to AY soundtracks, also those digital ones work perfectly well through the external AY that has been put on the ports compatible with Spectrum 128K.

A funny thing - as You can see on my video - You can also merge TWO Twisters :) TS bus - ZX-bus - Nemo-bus (if Zaxon would make the Nemo-Twister for You ;) ) - then You can connect GeneralSound card or Neo GeneralSound from Eastern Spectrums - and play MP3 music with Your Timex Sinclair 2068 or MOD music from Amiga, if You prefer. :)

Because of some reason You have to turn on Your Timex _twice_ to make the CF or SD drives work. Dunno why but it doesn't make any special troubles.
