BRUTAL 50KM RACE EXPERIENCE! | Running UTMR Mischabel 60km | Run4Adventure

UTMR Ultra Tour Monte Rosa 2024. After our amazing Chamonix UTMB trip we headed across the boarder into Switzerland so that I could take on the challenging Mischabel 60k at UTMR. I’d heard nothing but good things about the race and the stunning Swiss trails so I was super excited to run the race. Unfortunately, Switzerland had been experiencing some terrible weather, with flash floods and landslides, so the race had to be re-routed for safety reasons. It ended up being a 52k route with 4100m of elevation gain! As you can image with that amount of elevation over that distance, the climbs and descents were extremely steep and it turned out to be the hardest 50k I’ve ever run!
