Vaquform: Dual-Stage Vacuum Forming Demo

When the plastic reaches the target temperature the dual-stage vacuum system automatically turns on.

In the first stage most of the air is instantly drawn out with a high speed impeller, exactly like the one found in a household vacuum cleaner. These turbines move air quickly but don't have enough pull to render fine details and sharp corners on the finished product.

As the impeller maxes out at -55kPa, it triggers the second stage. A vacuum pump then pulls the remaining air at -85kPa of pressure. That level of pressure is at par with industrial thermoformers.
