At Neelam Park in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, nearly 500 health workers were sitting on a dharna for three days. The police lathicharged and chased them from the protest venue on Thursday, 3 December. According to the report of Ravish Pal Singh of India Today, health workers were demanding regularization of their jobs. As per the health workers, there are more than six thousand health workers, who were placed on contract for three months by the government in April 2020, but the contract was renewed twice for 6 months as the risk of corona increased, meaning the total duration of contract became 9 months that is ending on 31 December. The health workers were protesting demanding the restoration of their services and regularization of jobs. To know further details, watch the video.
