Grief is not a process it’s like an open wound that never heals

Someone dies every minute somewhere in the world and we never quite know how to handle it until it happens to someone close to you or when it happens to you

During this pandemic a lot of people have lost loved ones and they are grieving
And you never know when it hits your family
No one is exempt from death

It just really sucks when it finally happens to you
No one is ever prepared for this

You really get to understand what it feels like when you loose someone really close to you

This is felt very intimately when it’s your spouse or your parents

Loss of anyone is extremely painful it truly hurts your soul

When you lose your husband everyone comes around your friends and family they fill that void for a while

But when the funeral is over people leave and they go back to their own lives and you are left to deal with this big hole in your heart
Alone
Yes they call once in a while but mostly they start to avoid you because they don’t know what to say to you

I’m going to only speak of my own personal experience

And perhaps through this people can learn that there are certain things you should not say to someone grieving

I am a Widow

My husband died in a car accident in January 2011 and less than a year later my mother had a stroke and died
Two consecutive deaths
