AEG Electrolux dishwasher i30 error (flood protection) workaround fix

AEG dishwasher (model F77011M0P) drain pump started running constantly when dishwasher was off. Manual water valve in faucet was open and machine was slowly leaking water in. Water filled the bottom of the machine and flooded to secondary tray under the machine where the flood sensor (floating styrofoam sensor) is located. This activates the i30 anti-flood protection mode.

The cause seems to be that "safety valve" in water inlet hose is not fully closing, thus allowing water to leak into the machine. Replacing the hose with valve costs like 200 eur+ so we're planning to replace the entire machine instead. EDIT: We bought a new machine (different brand) in 4/2021 after about 2 years since the first occurrence of this i30 problem.

You can keep using the old "leaking" machine when manual water input valve is closed after every wash.

KNOW THE RISKS! If you forget to close the manual valve and there's long electricity outage or drain pump breaks down or inlet valve starts leaking more water, you might get wet floors!
