Hyperechogenic bowel in midtrimester scan .
Observed in prenatal vaginal bleeding & Fetal swallowing of blood from intra - amniotic hemorrhage 2. In congenital infections - CMV, HSV, Parvo virus 3. Meconium ileus ( due to cystic fibrosis) 3. Bowel obstruction/ atresia/ malformations 4. Present in 3% 27% of Down's fetuses & 0.5% in normal controls.
