Aravalli Calling for Help

Punjab Land Preservation Act (PLPA) Amendment Bill passed one year back where 60,000 acres of Aravallis land has been opened up for real estate development. This will concretise most of greens around Gurugram.

Political mafia and land mafia conniving is leading to this. Several citizen action groups have been formed to protect Aravallis. A lot of these groups keep getting threatened but keep raising their voices.

A large group gathered on 1st March 2020 to mark the anniversary of signing away of NCR s lifeline for clean air and water security.

The citizens hugged trees, paid ode to them, recited poetry and vowed to protect our Aravallis
