Person shot and killed by Prospect police officer

A person was shot and killed by a Prospect police officer on Friday evening.

Connecticut State Police said Prospect Police responded at 4:49 p.m. to a report of a suspicious incident at an address on Merriman Lane, a dead-end street off of Summit Road.

Shortly after arriving at the address, investigators made contact with an individual.
