Ok, that was AI, this is me, Jocke Salokorpi, your co-practitioner. I started exploring yoga in the early 2000s, and more seriously in 2005 with Ashtanga. We founded the first Ashtanga Yoga School in Estonia on January 2nd, 2007 (Ashtanga Yoga School Of Tallinn - www.ashtanga.ee). After many years of committed practice and study of Ashtanga Yoga, we moved beyond the tradition and started practicing and teaching, aligned with our more mature perspective of yoga and self-study.
Today, in 2025, at 50 years old, my main practice is Fullvinyasa 30+. It is this class that I stream here on YouTube. We practice every day, but we keep it short. (7x30 is more than 3x70.) We have designed a yoga system that can be included in our daily life with ease. It is a committed practice with real benefits. It is a practice that gives me energy and supports me, not a practice that drains me of energy and hurts me. It is my morning ritual that connects me with my body and grounds me in this present moment HERE and NOW—not letting me lose myself in the imaginary world of "there and then." This practice system is a great toolset that serves me better than I could have ever imagined, and it has provenly done that with many others as well.
I feel grateful for the active community practicing with me every day. We start our days together, while others are still sleeping, setting the tone for the great day ahead. We give ourselves attention and care so that we have something to give to the people around us. Thus, we are not just transforming ourselves; we are making sure we are ACTUALLY present for our loved ones. Yoga is not just for stretching the body and learning the handstands (which we will do), but it is a toolset that gives us physical, mental, and emotional health and stability. It is a toolset that will keep us functional as we grow older, yet feel happier and younger.
We practice every day.
