Police in Georgia clash with opponents of 'foreign agents' bill

Georgian security forces clashed with protesters after they marched through Tbilisi and tried to block MPs from accessing the parliament building.

Tens of thousands of Georgians took to the streets to oppose the 'foreign agents' bill.

The controversial legislation would require companies with more than 20% of their funding coming from overseas to register as "agents of foreign influence".

Opponents of the legislation compare it to Russia laws that target critics of the Kremlin and President Vladimir Putin.
