In one week alone, I heard 5 different stories of amazing artists wrestling with their singing self esteem because a family member or loved one told them they weren’t (fill in the blank) enough.

The irony of a performing vocalist is that we feel called to share our music through singing. But it HAS to come from a place of honesty - of revisiting and always staying connected with the songs that make us feel alive and passionate.

Save this as a reminder for the days when you’re feeling the pressure to live up to someone else’s expectations. Come back to the songs you LOVE to sing.
