🎞️ In 1994, DCTV journalists Ying Chan, Peter Kwong + Jon Alpert went inside the criminal networks trafficking migrants from China to the U.S.
What they found became one of the most striking investigative documentaries of the decade.
Snakeheads explored the debt bondage, coercion, and human cost behind a system hiding in plain sight in New York City. It won a CINE Golden Eagle Award.
DCTV has been making films like this since 1972, working with NYC communities to tell the stories others overlook.
