Post-Brexit trade talks put on hold

Post-Brexit trade talks between the UK and EU have ground to a halt after conditions for an agreement could not be met.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet tomorrow to discuss key sticking points – including state aid subsidies, fishing and enforcement of new rules.

If an agreement is not reached by December 31, both sides will follow World Trade Organisation rules.
