Exploring the most Soviet district of Moscow: Kuryanovo | Worth to visit?

Moscow has changed a lot since the Soviet Union. However, there is one secret area that even the locals do not know about, where the atmosphere of the USSR still reigns - Kuryanovo.

Although it takes only only 30 minutes by car from here to the Kremlin, Kuryanosvsky district can be said to be cut off from the city because of the railway line. You can get here from the metro station Pechatniki by bus (292, 736).

In the beginning, Kuryanovo was a closed military town. However, the district had everything that people need: school, kindergartens, hospital, several shops, a House of culture. Since 1960 Kuryanovo has been part of Moscow.

I'll tell you honestly, when walking here, you even forget that you are in Moscow. That is why this place is so loved by the filmmakers. Many famous Russian films were shot in Kuryanovo. And also, an interesting fact that Harrison Ford was here during the filming of the movie "K-19".

Now you can see many Soviet signs there, as well as a monument to Lenin. And most importantly, you can feel the atmosphere of the Soviet Union!
