‘Shrinkflation’ becomes major political issue ahead of 2024 U.S. election

From chocolate bars to laundry detergent, Americans are noticing more products... getting smaller, while remaining the same price. It’s called 'Shrinkflation' - and it's a very real corporate practice designed to maximize profits, especially during times of high inflation.

Now with U.S. inflation subsiding, shrinkflation has become an election issue. US President Joe Biden even highlighted it in his State of the Union speech earlier this year.
