If you want to join the Parachute Regiment you will need to undertake an Army selection process, including:

- Eligibility assessment;
- Army brief;
- Army Assessment Centre;
- Army interview;
- Army fitness tests;
- Army psychometric tests (BARB test).

PARACHUTE REGIMENT SELECTION TRAINING
The Parachute Regiment was formed in WWII (1st of August, 1942) at a time of Total War, and they have been in action ever since. The Paras are predominantly an airborne infantry regiment of the British Army who also specialise in Air Assault. They are made up of a number of different Battalion's.

The 1st Battalion falls under the command of the DSG, the Director Special Forces, which is in the Special Forces Support Group.
The remaining Para Battalion's are known as the parachute infantry element of the Army’s rapid response formation, the 16 Air Assault Brigade.

The 4TH BATTALION THE PARACHUTE REGIMENT are based at Thornbury Barracks in Leeds, and the 3RD BATTALION THE PARACHUTE REGIMENT are based at Merville Barracks in Colchester.
