How to turn off automatic high beams in a GMC Sierra?

Disabling automatic high beams in a GMC Sierra typically involves a simple process using the stalk on the steering column. First, ensure the headlight switch is in the "Auto" position. Then, locate the stalk on the steering column that controls your headlights and turn signals. Push the stalk away from you, as if you're activating the high beams manually. This activates the automatic high beam feature. To deactivate it, simply push the stalk away from you again. A light, usually blue or green, will appear on your dashboard instrument panel, indicating that the automatic high beams are engaged or disengaged. Some newer models may have a setting within the infotainment system's vehicle settings menu where you can also toggle the automatic high beams on or off. Consult your owner's manual for specific instructions relevant to your vehicle's model year.
