VR180 | Extreme Violin: Philip Glass On The Beach | Tim Fain

I'm performing Philip Glass' hair-raising violin solo from Einstein on the Beach in VIRTUAL REALITY! Filmed on the coastline of the San Juan Islands.
Hi everyone!
After working on so many VR and extended reality projects the past few years, I really wanted to try it out and make something myself. So I picked up a virtual reality camera (big thanks to my friends at Google) and a Zoom VR ambisonic mic - the equipment is so small and amazingly portable - and hit up one of my favorite spots in the world, the San Juan Islands. Hiking out to some of these remote beaches and knolls you see here in the film wasn't always easy...but a few scrapes and a couple of near misses later, here it is!
