Crockett's Opinion of a Thunder Storm

Crockett compares the sounds of a thunderstorm's peal to many other loud noises, but says there's none that give off such majesty, power and peace as that as a thunder clap.

The Colonel Swallows a Thunderbolt

Crockett goes on talking about Alaxcity (electricity) and how people are saying how it can be used and that they're catching lightning in a bottle. Crockett tells them that he prefers his fresh and doesn't need it from a bottle if he can drink water without a cup from the Mississippi. So he goes out during a storm and watches for a thunderbolt and opens his mouth for it.

Crockett's Morning Hunt

Crockett wakes up one morning and it's so cold he can't get his tinderbox to light, and could spark his fingers but the sparks would freeze before he gathered them. So he sets out to see why it's still dark, making his way to DayBreak Hill to see what's wrong and finds the sun's stuck frozen between the gears.
