When drama met history: teaching the history of war and commemoration
A workshop was held at the University of Sydney documenting the use of process drama to teach war and commemoration in a contemporary classroom. Students encountered how creative pedagogy can transform historical knowledge of war and memorialisation. They also learned how historical imagination and dramatic interactions can bridge different social and cultural contexts, cultivate empathy, develop new perspectives and an appreciation of other points of view.
