Hello Sunshine wants to highlight a new era of Rom Coms. The Meet Cute series spotlights 3 emerging women and non-binary filmmakers who each created a short film inspired by a real-life Bumble meet cute story, presented by Baileys.

People are craving a more modern take on Rom Coms – where the heroine knows her worth and is doing more than just stumbling through life looking for the perfect partner. They want a twist on the tropes, and they want their next batch of romantic comedies to be created by women and non-binary storytellers.

Carly is an award-winning commercial and narrative filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Carly’s first feature Suicide Kale, won the Audience Award for best first feature at Outfest 2016 and their short film Misdirection was an official selection for over 60 festivals worldwide.
