Born in a poor rural background, C. Banamati faced extreme hardships from childhood. She helped her family by grazing cattle and working odd jobs while continuing her studies. Even financial struggles could not stop her dream.

When society tried to push her into early marriage, she stood firm and chose education over everything. Inspired by her district collector and a TV serial showing an IAS officer’s life, she decided to crack UPSC.

To support her studies, she worked in a private company while preparing for one of India’s toughest exams — the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

In 2015, her hard work finally paid off. She secured an impressive All India Rank of 152 and became an IAS officer.

Today, C. Banamati stands as a symbol of determination, courage, and unstoppable willpower — proving that no dream is too big if you refuse to give up.
