NIO ES8 in the USA - Walk around tour of NIO ES8 Founders Edition at NIO HQ in San Jose, CA

I took a tech field trip to NIO USA Headquarters in San Jose, CA. They are next door to Intel and Canon in the heart of Silicon Valley and only 9 miles from Elon Musk's Tesla Factory in Fremont. Since we are in the middle of a pandemic, I didn't expect to see much, but I was rewarded with the gorgeous Founder's Edition ES8 out on display. I can't imagine that there are any more here in the states, so I feel lucky to get an up close peek at this amazing car.

I was able to talk to a security guard and I asked about any other cars that may or may not be parked on display inside... I was hoping to see the EP9 world record holder, the groundbreaking EVE, or the ES6 on display. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more NIOs in the news soon. With the 3 minute Battery Swapping tech, and BaaS - Battery as a Service program, letting you rent a battery, NIO cars are going to be a great success and cost way less than the competitors!

Enjoy knowing that with forward thinking companies like NIO "Blue Skies Coming" can be more of a reality than just a catch phrase.
