Inside London's Mega Sewer Tunnel Project | Megastructure

This is Thames Tideway Tunnel aka “The super sewer” and it is located in Greater London. It's Mega Structure Build Below Thames River.

The tunnel removes approximately 19 million tonnes of sewage annually and stops it from flowing into the Thames. The Lee tunnel section has a length of 6.9 km and when completed the overall length of the Thames tideway tunnel will be 25km.

There are around 30,000 concrete segments used in the tunnel. The segments form together in the rings which make up the tunnel and there are around 4,227 rings. It takes 240 barges to transport the concrete segments to the site.
