Butch Hartman and Character Design
**PLEASE READ!!**
I've seen quite a few comments about the color wheel I used not being a 'real color wheel' or some such, and I wanted to comment on it here, as I should have within the video.
I'm using a CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key/black) color wheel in the video, as CMYK is more useful for, and more often used within, the industry of print media (and sometimes digital spaces); it's also the color wheel Valve uses in their write-up I've linked. An RGB (red, green, blue) color wheel is more common (you can tell if it's an RGB wheel if it has red and green as complementary colors), but is far more useful for traditional media like oil paints and watercolors, etc. This is because of additive versus subtractive color theory, which I won't get into here.
I default to using a CMYK color wheel more often myself as I'm more involved in the 'digital-to-print' realm and thus need to know more about how colors will transfer to print (aka how they will go from RGB-to-CMYK). I also just find it much more aesthetically pleasing and balanced.
Again, I should have mentioned it in the video, and maybe it was a mistake on my part to use CMYK instead of RGB, but heck, can't think of everything, huh! Live and learn!
Also sidenote, because I've seen it mentioned as well, I did not design the character that I'm painting LOL, he is a character from Danny Phantom - specifically Clockwork -- and I was doing the piece for a friend. :) When I first made this video I was not expecting it to blow up the way it has -- I assumed it would stay mostly within the Danny Phantom fandom, and thus didn't feel a need to specify the details! Yes, his design is quite clunky! No, it is not my fault!
Thanks, yall :)

Thanks to Stove for letting me feature their fantastic Flynn redesign!
Clockwork painting timelapse in the background is mine, because I....... I just...... didn't know what else to put in those shots lol
Also sorry for the wonky editing in some bits, I literally had never touched a video editing program before this
